Which Electrical Plug is used in Morocco?

Morocco has two associated plug types: C and E. Plug type C has two round pins, and type E has two round pins and a hole for the socket’s main earthing pin. Morocco operates on a 220V and 50Hz supply.

Do I need Vaccines?

A certificate of vaccination is not required for European or American travelers, but a certificate may be required for travelers coming from countries affected by anticholera.

What is the official Currency of Morocco?

Moroccan currency is the Moroccan Dirham, also known as Dhs or MAD. The Moroccan Dirham is a closed currency, meaning you are not allowed to import or export it. Foreign currency may be exchanged at the airport on arrival, at a bank, or a small amount at certain hotels.

A Moroccan Dirham is composed of 100 centimes, and notes are available in denominations of 200, 100, 50 and 20, and coins are available in denominations of 10, 5, 2 and 1 or 50, 20, 10 and 5 centimes.

Most upmarket restaurants, shops and hotels accept debit cards, and those that do not, accept Visa or MasterCard, but a surcharge may apply. Please note that Amex is not a popular card.
